Concealed Water Leak Detection in Sydney
Concealed water leak detection in Sydney: we find the leaking pipe without opening the wall first.
Tell us what's happening

The short answer
Something is wet in the hallway and nothing that uses water sits anywhere near it. The part you are dreading is being told the wall has to come out. It does not, until we know exactly where.
How it works
Step 1: Call or book online
Tell us what is happening. We ask the right questions and book a time that suits you.
Step 2: We find the cause
A licensed plumber diagnoses it properly, with a drain camera, leak detection or a pressure test where it helps.
Step 3: A fixed price, agreed first
You agree the price before any work starts. We quote the job, not the hour, so there are no surprise charges.
Step 4: Done right, guaranteed
We finish the job, clean up, and back our workmanship with a lifetime labour guarantee.
Step 5: You know the price first
The figure for the whole job, in writing, before anyone starts. That figure is what turns up on the invoice.

Questions and answers
Not to find it. The thermal camera reads the face of the wall, while the acoustic gear and tracer gas work through plaster and tile, so the search itself is non-destructive. The opening is for the repair only, cut square over the mark.
Water runs along framing, down cavities and across the top of joists until it reaches a low point. The pipe can be a metre or two away, sometimes in the next room, which is why we trace the pipe rather than cut under the stain.
Sometimes. Cold water pipes sweat on humid days and can wet a wall cavity. The meter test settles it: condensation does not move the dial, a leak does. If it is condensation, lagging the pipe is usually the answer.
In terraces, semis and units it happens more than people expect. If your meter is still and every line holds pressure, but the shared wall is wet, the source is likely on the other side or in the roof. We tell you that plainly and put it in writing.
It is cut square and left clean, ready for a plasterer or tiler to close. That making good is separate from the plumbing repair, and keeping the opening small keeps it simple.
Policies differ, so ask your insurer early. Most want the cause, the location and the date in writing, and our insurance leak report covers all three with photos.
