What to do in an emergency
Water you can't stop, sewage coming up or a gas smell: do these steps first, then call Champion on 1300 363 976, answered 24/7.
Emergency? Do this first, then call.
- Turn the water off at the stop tap beside the meter.
- Stop flushing, showering and running the washing machine if sewage is coming up.
- Keep children and pets away from any sewage overflow.
- Get everyone outside and ring from there if you smell gas.
Questions and answers
Most days, yes. Same day is the normal way we run, seven days a week, and the truck you get is the one closest to you rather than the one at the depot. You'll get a real arrival time on the phone, based on where the plumbers actually are that morning.
A licensed plumber in a Champion truck that already carries the jet blaster, the drain machine, the drain camera and common copper, PEX and poly fittings. It's a family-owned Sydney business, so the people who answer the phone are the people who do the work.
Almost certainly. The trucks run from Penrith across to Bondi and from the Northern Beaches down to Campbelltown, and every suburb we work is listed on the service areas page. If yours isn't obvious, ring and we'll answer in a sentence.
Not on any job you book with us. We turn up, work out what's wrong and hand you a written price. Decide not to go ahead and you haven't paid for the visit. The one thing we quote separately is after-hours attendance, and that number is given to you on the phone before we leave.
No. We diagnose on site, write the price down, and that's the figure on the invoice. If we open something up and find a second problem, we stop, show you what we're looking at, and write a second price for it. Nothing gets added while your back is turned.
Coming out and having a look is free on a booked job. Where the diagnosis needs gear, a camera down the drain or tracer gas on a hidden leak, we price that on the spot and you decide whether to run it before we do.
