A straight swap onto the existing waste is usually done in a morning, including taking the old one away and testing the new one. Moving the waste, converting between floor and wall outlets, or fitting an in-wall cistern takes longer, and we tell you how long the room will be out of action before we start.

It depends on what has failed. An outlet seal, an inlet valve, a pan connector and a new cistern are four different prices. Coming out and having a look is free on a booked job, and you get the price in writing before any work starts.

Often, yes. If the pan is sound and a matching or compatible cistern is available, we swap the cistern alone. Where the old pair is discontinued and nothing seals properly to the pan, we say so, and a new suite usually ends up the tidier job.

Yes. We use a pan connector made for the cast iron outlet and seat it carefully, because old cast iron can crack if it's forced. If the pipe is already cracked or rusted through where it leaves the wall or floor, we show you and price that section before going further.

Yes, both. A clip-on bidet seat usually needs a tee on the toilet's cold supply, plus a power point if it's heated. A separate bidet or bidet suite is a bigger plumbing job, and any hot supply to it has to stay within the 50°C bathroom limit.

Yes. Seats vary in hinge spacing and fixing type, from soft-close to quick-release, so send a photo of the pan and the brand if you know it. It's a small job on its own and an easy one to add while we're there for something else.

Yes. The old pan and cistern leave on the truck with us, along with the packaging from the new one.

Stop flushing and turn the isolating tap behind the toilet clockwise so the cistern can't refill. An overflowing pan is usually a blockage rather than a cistern fault, so it's one for our blocked drains service, and a plumber answers the phone 24/7, not a call centre.
